Part 1 the beginning
By the Kermle
Before the universe, before time, before space, and even before reality, Kermit was there. There was no earth, no seas, no stars. But still, Kermit remained. The darkness of a space without time engulfed Kermit like a blanket. So peaceful, so calm, and yet so empty. Kermit became weary of this unforgiving darkness. He grew lonely and began to long for companionship. He tried to quiet those thoughts, thinking that the darkness was enough but the longing persisted. Finally, weary of eternity without change he decided to create something that would satisfy his hunger for change. Although he knew he wanted change he was unable to express his longing into coherent ideas since this empty darkness was all he had known. Instead he created a spark, and in that spark was all his longing, his loneliness just waiting to ignite into a fire of ideas. For a while this spark floated in the nothingness, slowly dimming as the darkness was perfect for making one forget. It drifted through the empty space, searching for the right material to start a fire. And as it drifted Kermit began to forget. In that spark he had put all his longing his loneliness in an effort to find a way to satisfy him. But even as he manifested his ideas into the spark he distended them from him, now they were not a part of his mind as he had separated himself from his emotions. And as this spark of emotions floated through the nothingness searching for something new it found nothing, because the darkness never changes. It wandered for years but since there was no time it all passed in a split second, or in millions of years. But its wanderings were of no avail, the darkness never changes and still it began to fizzle out. Kermit had all but forgotten the spark and all that remained of it was a slight sense of discontent but it was easy to ignore in the peace and calm of the nothingness. And although Kermit had distanced his thoughts from his mind when he created the spark his longing still fueled it. And as Kermit’s loneliness began to fade away, so did the spark. But still the spark searched for the perfect flammable material with which to ignite a blaze it wandered back to its place of origin, the little chunk of nothingness where Kermit watited. As the spark drew closer it caught Kermit’s eye. Finally something new was in his world. His thoughts, long since stowed away in a forgotten corner of his mind resurfaced, bubbling the the top of his brain. His eyes followed the spark as it flew and as Kermit's thoughts of it returned the spark grew brighter. But still it could not grow bright enough. As it flew Kermit watched, enchanted by his first sight of something in the nothing. But after an eternity watching it again he grew bored. The spark that once held him in amazement was now nothing more than another part of his nothingness. While Kermit’s thoughts of the spark again began to fade, it too did fade. Kermit did not notice, as the fading was gradual and the spark not easily seen. Eventually it began to completely blend in and Kermit ceased to remember it. It sputtered and flickered but with Kermit’s thoughts gone it could not survive. And just like that it was gone, the spark that Kermit had nurtured in his mind and created but soon forgotten was gone. And with the spark gone Kermit realized how much the spark had meant to him. In reality it was a part of him and now it was gone. The absence of the spark only served to remind him of what had been before and again, without his spark he began to feel lonely. The loneliness grew and grew and grew. It was so much greater now that he knew what it was to have a spark but have it taken away. The darkness tried to hide these thoughts but they could not be stopped. He created a new spark, but this spark was larger, brighter and full of life. He put all of his thoughts, not just the ones of loneliness and discontentment into the spark. And that was what the spark had been needing all along, the perfect fuel to kindle a fire. As Kermit watched, the spark grew and grew. Blotting out the darkness. Now there was light, not darkness but Kermit knew that just light was no better than just darkness. So he put his thought into the light, forcing it to embody his full being. Now Kermit was light and the light was Kermit. They were one and the same, but as Kermit merged with the light it became green, the color of Kermit. Now that Kermit knew the light he knew what he had to do. He took all his thoughts, all of his being, gathered them up and exploded outward. And the pieces of him became the early universe and embodied all matter that exists today. So now Kermit is all around us, watching over and protecting us. And now his dream had come true, the world existed and so did life.
